What’s not to love about an obstacle course, and namely, one you can zipline off of? If you crave adventure and if nature breathes life back into your spirit, TreeRunner Grand Rapids is a tree sanctuary that awaits you!

The biggest reason why someone is wary of an aerial adventure is heights. We always hear “we’re too afraid of heights” or “I know I’ll look down and that will be the end of it!”

At TreeRunner Grand Rapids, we’re an adventure park nestled in the luscious and dense woodlands of western Michigan. Reconnect with nature and have an amazing experience drifting through our park at a birthday party, with your office teammates, or a school field trip. Follow along in today’s post as we explore why glow night at TreeRunner Grand Rapids is an event not to be missed!

If you’re worried about heights, TreeRunner Grand Rapids has three different obstacle levels that fit your experience and confidence levels. Hop up to the main deck and choose from beginner courses, intermediate courses, and expert courses.

Glow Night At Our Aerial Park

What better way than to enhance our already amazing aerial park than to make it glow? At our Friday and Saturday Glow Nights, we begin at 5:30 pm and light up all of the obstacles courses as it gets darker. Roam the trees in vibrant pinks, yellows, and blues.

Why are Glow Nights so popular at TreeRunner Grand Rapids, find out below!

A Glow Night provides a night of fun through sensory perception.

When you tackle a treetop adventure in the daytime you have all of your senses including sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste. At a Glow Night, your sense of sight is slightly affected. There is enough light to get you from point A to point B, but it will affect how you perceive things! During this time you’ll need to rely on your other senses to help get you through obstacles and the task at hand. You may find yourself slowing down and really feeling the ropes or making sure you’re extra cautious on a moving element of the course. Not only do you have to problem solve in a different way, but adjust your body to fit its surroundings.

A Glow Night just looks really cool!

What’s not to love about a dark sky and neon light to illuminate it? It makes everything so much more magical. It creates a surreal atmosphere and a dreamlike state that takes you from the woods of Michigan to an enchanted forest where the possibilities are endless.

A Glow Night frees inhibition

When it’s nighttime and things are less visible, if you’re afraid of heights, this may make the park more doable because you can’t see the ground! Your inhibitions are down and you’re able to relax a little and accomplish one of our obstacle courses, and who knows, you may even be able to tackle an expert course!

The dark also provides a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends at TreeRunner. For whatever reason — perhaps it’s the loss of some visibility — the dark can make people more friendly and more willing to work together to overcome obstacles.

Glow Night fosters imagination

There is something about the lighting and the mood that makes you want to reenact Avatar or pretend you’re in a 70s disco! Let your imagination run wild and reenact your favorite movie, or at least take some really cool pictures.

When you come to Glow Night at TreeRunner Grand Rapids, you’ll experience our park at night, lit by colorful LEDs. You’ll be able to participate in a whole new way that challenges your senses, get involved in something that just looks really cool, free your inhibition to help you climb to new heights, and foster your imagination.
